OVERVIEW
In order to better understand the current landscape of sports news consumption, we began our process with user interviews, competitive and comparative analysis.
We interviewed people with all levels of sports knowledge, however all interviewees identified as a sports novice in at least one sport. We conducted these interviews to understand their behaviors and needs.
We also took a close look at how companies like TipOff, theSkimm, the Casual Spectator, Good Ol'Sport, Bleacher Report, 365 Scores and TheScore communicate sports information and news to their users.
